What's MBC Choice?

The CHOICE Project at Morris Brown College serves African American youth ages 13 to 24 who are at the highest risk for substance abuse and HIV/AIDS, including African American men who have sex with men (MSM) and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. Through virtual trainings, community activities, and ongoing support, the program promotes safe practices in both substance use prevention and sexual health while connecting participants to a wide range of resources that foster personal, academic, and professional growth.

The CHOICE Project provides:

  • CHOICE Development Center Access – Computers, internet, printers, and classroom space for participants.
  • Health Outreach – General healthcare referrals, substance abuse prevention, and STD/STI awareness and testing.
  • Socioeconomic Outreach – Job search assistance, housing resources, and food support.
  • Recreation & Socialization – Community service opportunities, travel, and positive social engagement.
  • Educational Outreach – Academic support, tutoring, and guidance for college enrollment.
