Dr. Kevin James
Dr. Kevin James serves as the 19th President of Morris Brown College, a historically Black college located in Atlanta, Georgia founded in 1881. In this role he leads as the Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for the leadership and management of all aspects of college operations. He is also responsible for the development and execution of the vision and strategic direction for the college, in concert with the Board of Trustees. He serves as the Project Director for the CHOICE Project.
Shakera Cheston
Shakera Cheston serves as the Project Coordinator and Lead Navigator for the CHOICE Project at Morris Brown College. Originating from Kinston, North Carolina, but Georgia raised, She is a proud Fort Valley State University alumna and graduated with a Bachelors in Social Work and a minor in Criminal Justice. Her implementation of progressive work in the areas of substance abuse, sexual health and various intersecting topics actively amplify the current standing curriculum and trainings.
Loi Morris
Loi Morris is a Senior Business major at Morris Brown College. As an Atlanta native, Ms. Morris is an author, Podcaster, YouTuber, Entrepreneur, and a Digital Content Creator. She’s owned several businesses since 2019, and she’s been growing her YouTube channel since 2019. Her favorite quote is “Always remember, that YOU have to be your biggest motivator. NO motivation from within yourself means NO faith, NO hard work, NO time, and NO effort to reach your goals. ”
Janiah Henry
Janiah Henry is a 2023 graduate of Clark Atlanta University, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts and Science degree in Political Science. Currently, she serves as the Black Youth Renaissance Tour Coordinator for Black Voters Matter, organizing and empowering young Black voters nationwide. Janiah is a 2nd year Community Navigator where she connects students with resources to minimize unsafe sexual encounters and substance abuse.
Soloman Hill
Solomon Hill is a Second-year senior in Psychology at Morris Brown College. As an Atlanta native, he happily dedicates his free time to serving the MBC CHOICE Project and the population(s) it serves. He truly believes in what the program offers to the school & community and enjoys the necessary work that’s done. His hobbies include being an avid reader, movie watcher, and now a collector of vinyl records.
Stephanie Gunby
Stephanie Gunby serves as a Community Navigator for the CHOICE Project at Morris Brown College. Hailing from Hermitage, Arkansas, she has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance and a Master of Business Administration Degree, both from Arkansas State University.
