This course explores the complex interplay between drugs, human behavior, and society.
Through a multidisciplinary approach, students will examine the historical, cultural,
psychological, and pharmacological aspects of drug use and abuse. Topics will include
the classification and effects of various drugs, patterns of drug use, addiction and
dependence, societal attitudes and policies, and the impact of drugs on individual
behavior and society. Emphasis will be placed on critical thinking, ethical considerations,
and the application of empirical evidence to understand the multifaceted nature of drugrelated phenomena.
