BUS-HM 451 is a structured internship course designed for students in the hospitality
management program, providing an opportunity for hands-on experience in the
hospitality industry. This internship requires a minimum of 280 hours of supervised work
experience during the summer prior to the senior year. Students will apply theoretical
knowledge gained in the classroom to real-world situations, enhancing their
understanding of hospitality operations and management. The course includes regular
meetings with an internship advisor to discuss progress, challenges, and learning
outcomes, following the guidelines outlined in the approved departmental internship
manual.
