PSY 201 Introduction to the Science of Psychology

This foundational course introduces students to the systematic and scientific study of
behavior and mental processes. It covers major subfields such as biological, cognitive,
developmental, social, and clinical psychology. Students explore the evolution of
discipline, major theoretical perspectives, and the scientific methods used to study human
and animal behavior. Emphasis is placed on critical thinking, ethical considerations, and
applying psychology to real-world issues.
