This course is an introduction to the scientific study of society. Emphasis is placed on
the basic principles, the distinctive subject matters, and interconnections of different
disciplines in the social sciences. Also, this course discusses the relationship between
the social and economic institutions which control the thinking and action of average
people. The course attempts to offer methods of understanding these various forces
and their ultimate influence on social and business institutions.
